SUSANNA ROBINSON
VIGNETTE
“There’s an honesty in nature that I deeply connect with,” Robinson explains. “It’s not about replicating botanical forms but about capturing the perfect imperfection of a moment and evoking presence and emotion through an impressionistic approach to painting.” Susanna Robinson, 2025

Following the overwhelming success of her debut UK exhibition last year, Susanna Robinson returns to The Gallery at Green & Stone with a new and deeply personal collection of work. Titled ‘Vignette’, this exhibition explores Robinson’s connection to nature and her appreciation of its beauty in imperfection.
While Robinson is not traditionally classified as a botanical artist, her latest body of work celebrates the flora encountered in daily life. She is drawn to nature’s quiet resilience, its shifting presence, and the way it transforms with time and light. This collection captures these fleeting moments, layering light, shadow, and texture to create evocative and immersive scenes. Whether depicting botanicals in radiant sunlight, wrapped in darkness, or placed indoors among books and personal objects, each piece offers an intimate glimpse into the artist’s world.
“There’s an honesty in nature that I deeply connect with,” Robinson explains. “It’s not about replicating botanical forms but about capturing the perfect imperfection of a moment and evoking presence and emotion through an impressionistic approach to painting.”
Robinson’s rising presence in the art world was recently underscored by an invitation from the High Commissioner of Australia, The Rt Hon. Stephen Smith, to exhibit alongside seven other distinguished Australian artists at Australia House, Strand, London. This prestigious opportunity affirms her growing reputation as an exciting and significant contemporary artist.
Her debut UK exhibition was met with exceptional enthusiasm, with nearly all works selling out. ‘Vignette’ promises to build on this momentum, offering a more immersive and introspective look into her artistic practice.
