Painting Flowers in Oils
Accompanied by delicious vodka spritzes from Forage, we will be oil painting flowers with accuracy and energy.
In “Painting Flowers” we will use the ‘sight-size’ method and ‘colour matching’ to capture the true likeness and beauty found in flowers. The purpose will be to enjoy painting, learn new things and create a work of art!
All art materials provided by Green & Stone and Michael Harding.
Drinks provided by Forage.
Flowers kindly provided by The Flower Stand, Chelsea.
About Felicity Joy Starr
Felicity (b. 1982) is predominantly a self taught artist and has developed her practice through daily painting. Rich in meaning and symbolism her preferred genre is still life, particularly flowers.
Felicity paints in the Realist tradition influenced by Impressionism, her process is ‘alla prima’ and uses lots of paint to create a textured surface. Her brush strokes are visible to form an important part of the narrative when describing the subject matter.
