About Rebecca & Sandy
Rebecca Jewell and Sandy Ross Sykes are both alumni of the Natural History Illustration course at the Royal College of Art. They are also Fellows of the Linnean Society and members of the Art Workers’ Guild.
Sandy is a botanical artist and Rebecca makes feather monoprints, nature prints and printed-feather collages. They are co-founders of Drawn from Nature, running watercolour and drawing classes based around an exotic ‘nature table’ of natural history curios.
They have taught at Kew Gardens and the British Museum and the Linnean Society. They are currently running the Public Engagement Workshops for a Wellcome-Funded project on Animal Feeding. Between them, their work is held in several National Collections including the British Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Hunt Institute in America.
