Artist Statement

Lou creates intricate yet stunning collages inspired by both the natural world and the catwalk. Often these two worlds collide in her work, created using hand cut, carefully curated layers of paper and card. With a magpie's eye for glitter, texture and colour, Lou's flowers often look like they're dressed up for dancing but still remain rooted in and inspired by more traditional botanical art and she has been likened to 'a modern day Mary Delaney'.
