Artist Statement

Kit Lintin (b.1996) is an oil painter based in South London. Her paintings depict scenes where the classical meets the contemporary, merging together with a modern twist. Informed by her training in traditional still-life principles, Kit challenges conventional perspectives to create playful and unique compositions.

Surrealism can be seen to influence her paintings, in both their balance and design, as well as the placement of unusual objects to construct a dream-like intensity. Kit’s paintings transport you into a world of escapism, with each scene inviting multiple interpretations. Kit has worked on multiple commercial projects with commissions from a range of brands, including; Burlington Arcade, Champagne Bollinger and bottle designs for premium drinks brand Pimentae.
