‘A Fragmentary Impression’

Join us this spring for an immersive, hands-on collage workshop with the talented Nicholas Rice.

"Collage is an often underappreciated medium. The joy lies in selecting printed images, then reimagining and assembling them into something entirely new. It’s a perfect blend of creativity and upcycling old magazines." — Nicholas Rice

In this intensive session, Nicholas will guide you through his unique techniques, showing you how to transform paper fragments into striking portraits. The workshop will begin with a demonstration of his fundamental methods, followed by dedicated time for participants to craft their own artworks with his one-on-one guidance.

Over 4.5 hours, you'll gain a solid foundation in collage-making, learning how to deconstruct and reassemble images to create compelling impressions. Drawing inspiration from historical artworks, you’ll explore both the expressive and naturalistic potential of collage, creating your own interpretation of the masters.

All levels are welcome.

All art materials are provided by Green & Stone.
