Drawing and Painting Nature Specimens: Butterflies and Beetles
This class will be an opportunity to paint butterflies and beetles, working from real specimens from the collection of Rebecca and Sandy. Using pencil, inks and watercolours, participants will learn how to measure their insect with dividers, drawing the airborne insects with scrutiny. Attendants will then learn to imbue the characteristic rich colour and iridescence into their subject with watercolour. A range of beautiful tropical and British butterflies, moths and beetles will be available to work from.
All levels are welcome.
All art materials provided by Green & Stone.
