Artist Statement

Through my art, I aim to capture the essence of life and evoke powerful emotions in viewers. Each painting reflects my inner world and invites a deeper connection with something meaningful, whether it's a delicate flower or a striking portrait.

I'm also passionate about inspiring others to pursue their creativity, regardless of their age or life circumstances. It's never too late to become an artist.

Although I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a classically trained artist, it wasn't until my late 30s, in 2017, that I began my artistic journey at London Fine Art Studios. As a mother of two, I never imagined my art could take me beyond providing a few hours of creative escapism. But as I continued to learn and grow, my art empowered me to overcome mental obstacles and fulfill my dreams.

I'm also a dedicated collector of art books and seek out information about talented artists whose works and lives have been forgotten. My artistic inspirations include the Italian art movements of Verism and Scapigliatura, as well as Expressionism and Tonalism. I often incorporate a juxtaposition between traditional and modern approaches in my work.

I'm committed to allowing my art to evolve naturally, exploring new techniques and subject matter as they arise. I'm always acquiring new skills to improve my artistic communication with viewers.
