Artist Statement
Art is not only able to capture the world around us, but to express something meaningful through its ability to speak a myriad of truths. Through personal interpretation, it can penetrate a viewer and an artists’ heart, releasing freedom, joy, nostalgia, inspiration… the list is endless. My artworks are often inspired by powerful words and statements. I find that working in a range of mediums and styles, both two dimensionally and three-dimensionally, is the most effective way of expressing all the facets of the message behind the artwork. It also gives the opportunity to grow & challenge myself creatively. Helping others express their creativity is a passion of mine, particularly individuals who believe or have been told that they aren’t artistic. I truly believe and have seen that everyone has a unique creative expression and that the act of creation is transformative. I enjoy demonstrating this through facilitating bespoke immersive experiences and collaborative artworks. To see individuals moved and encouraged has been my greatest’s pleasure in creating and sharing art.
