Artist Statement
As a Plein air artist, I paint from life and love the fact that I am connected to my subject, not just visually but also physically and emotionally. It is this emotion that I like to capture in all of my paintings.
For me, capturing the light and colours and the spontaneity it brings to my work while painting from life, is everything. And that applies even to my interior paintings.
My work is constantly evolving and I do seek to get more spontaneous as I move forward, and work with ‘Less is More’ approach with my brushes and palette.
