Artist Statement

Youthful skin is lovely, but I find an older, slightly saggy, blemished face fascinating to draw, and this one is always available in the mirror! Ageing is a privilege, and I want to celebrate my wrinkles rather than attempt to halt or disguise them. As a society, we need to accept the reality of our faces and bodies, and stop the endless airbrushing with fillers and filters.
